Preparing for the Inauguration Festival

All the devotees are eagerly preparing for Sri Sri Guru-Gaurachandra’s  Inauguration Festival, which will take place on August 5, 2012. By the mercy of Srila Acharya Maharaj the work  is going on from morning to night. Below are a few snapshots of daily life here, at the SLC SCS Mission. Jay Sri Sri Guru-Gaurachandra ki jay!

Rai Kishori DD is ready to rock!

Damayanti DD – the best gardener.

Laksmi Priya DD – the first guest of the festival.

Jaya Sri DD and Ashapurna DD are sewing new altar curtains.

Nimai Sundar Prabhu and Syamasundar Prabhu are putting up a fancy new fence. Well, maybe not so new, but still perfectly functional!

Syamasundar Prabhu has built a beautiful altar for the Lord.

Rangadevi DD flew from Detroit to paint the altar.

Rangadevi DD is using ancient dragon ornaments for the painting.

Meanwhile, Balarama Prabhu is practicing a play with the girls.

Keshavananda Prabhu is adding some color to the temple’s facade.

Nitai Sundar Prabhu and Nimai Sundar Prabhu are finishing building the tables.

Sanding with bare hands is no joke!

The work can be quite exhausting…

…or quite amazing!

Krishna Mohini DD is making a turban for Sriman Mahaprabhu.

At the same time the programs are going on in the usual manner: three times a week.

Unexpected guests arrived in the middle of class: Kamala Sundari DD and Haridas Prabhu bring newborn twins Ram Gopal and Syam Gopal.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Your humble servants,

Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Mission, SLC.
