Inauguration Festival of Sri Sri Guru-Gaurachandra-jiu: an Overview.

By the grace of Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga, and by the will of Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj, we have concluded the week-long celebration of the inauguration of the service of Sri Sri Guru-Gaurachandra here at Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Mission, Salt Lake City. The festivities began on Monday, July 30th, with the arrival of Srila Bhakti Kusum Ashram Maharaj from Mexico. Sri Krishna Janmastami and Sri Nandotsava festivals (photos)

     Below are photos of the two-day festival of Sri Krishna Janmastami and Sri Nandotsava.  Sri Krishna Janmastami is celebrated all over the world as the Appearance Day of Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The day after is called Sri Nandotsava, and it is the day of Nanda Maharaj's  feast in glorification of his son, Sri Krishna. Also, Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada appeared on this day, and therefore we offered pushpanjali (flower worship) for His Divine Grace. Everyone who follows a religious life has faith in God. One might have faith mixed with a feeling of competition with others and with a feeling of separation from, or fear of, God. Another might worship God in order to secure material enjoyment from Him, either in earthly or Heavenly planes.
